"There is no substitute for one-to-one advice from aÌýtop medical expert and that's what we offer our callers and emailers. But for each person who calls to ask for help, someone else phones in to pass on a tip or a suggestion -Ìýit's a great programme to present."

Mild Cognitive Impairment
As part of Radio 4's Memory Experience, this week Barbara Myers will be taking listeners' calls about Mild Cognitive Impairment.
Most of us experience difficulty with remembering names or finding the car keys - especially as we get older - and this is perfectly normal.
People with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), however, have a noticable decline in their memories, though they do not actually have dementia.
MCI is not a disease. It's identified through a series of assessments.
People with MCI may have impaired memories when tested, but have no significant problems with other brain functions such as attention span or planning.Ìý
MCI may be caused by stress, anxiety or depression or for 10-12% of patients there is an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.Ìý Some will remain the same, while a few may even improve.
However, more research is needed before it's possible to identify which sufferers of MCI will go on to develop Alzheimer's.
Barbara's guest in the studio is MCI expert Professor Roy Jones, directorÌýof the Research Institute for the Care of the Elderly (RICE).
Contact the Programme Check Up Ìýis your opportunity to ask an expert about the condition. If you have a question, contact us by calling 0870 010 0444 from 1.30pm - 3.30pm on the day of broadcastÌýor by emailing the programme - see 'Contact Check Up' link above.
