"There is no substitute for one-to-one advice from aÌýtop medical expert and that's what we offer our callers and emailers. But for each person who calls to ask for help, someone else phones in to pass on a tip or a suggestion -Ìýit's a great programme to present."

Cosmetic Surgery
In the first of a new series of Check Up, Barbara Myers will be inviting listeners to call in and email with their questions about cosmetic surgery.
Cosmetic surgery is becoming more and more popular in the UK.
It's been estimated that around 65,000 procedures are performed each year.
Breast enlargement is the most common operation, followed by nose reshaping, liposuction and face-lifts.
Some people favour treatments that don't involve surgery, such as skin treatments like botox and facial peels.
If you are considering undergoing a cosmetic procedure, but have questions about what it might involve, or if you've recently had surgery and are concerned about your recovery, please contact us.
Barbara Myers' guest in the studio will be Mr Simon Withey, consultant plastic surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital in north London.
Mr Withey will be explaining what various cosmetic procedures involve as well as giving advice on how to choose a qualified, reputable practitioner.
Contact the Programme Check Up is your opportunity to ask an expert about the condition. If you have a question, contact us by calling 0870 010 0444 from 1.30pm - 3.30pm on the day of broadcastÌýor by emailing the programme - see 'Contact Check Up' link above.
