In the first programme, Brett is joined by Nature writer, Richard Mabey, for a Dawn Chorus in the Selborne garden of famous 18th century naturalist Gilbert White.
They explore the changing sights and sounds of spring using archive dawn chorus sound recordings from the very same garden, as well as the writing of the 19th century poets and the written records of Gilbert White himself.
