Who's in Charge Out There?

I'm wondering when our new moderator (of island blogging not church type thing) is going to introduce himself? I think from what Mike said, before he ran off with his esteemed Aberdonian colleague, that his name is Graham. Hello Graham! I went to the Mull page to look up Mikes' old blogs to confirm this but they've all gone! Is this a whole new regime? Has my instant upload status been revoked? Is Graham going to make good on Mikes sponsorship promise for The Dell Fank? Where does Graham stand on the essential issues of Jeremy Godwin and Spam? These concerns are very close to our hearts and I miss Mike telling me off by e-mail. Come on Graham, come and say hello?

Not Falling For It Again, Honest!
Posted: Thursday, 16 February 2006 |
Hello I'm back briefly and away again tomorrow night. I have the dubious pleasure of jetting off to the bright lights of the NEC in Birmingham, the glamour! And it's just as well I've been absent as all that valentines mallarkey seems to have gone to your heads! I had a bit of a romantic week too. I bumped into the exsouthender at the Robbie Williams Tribute on Saturday night. He insisted he had to explain why he dumped me and begged me to give him a second chance. I pointed out that this would be a third chance and that I'm not made out of stupidness, well not completely, so not a chance! Then we had a bit of a snog and he insisted that I at least let him try to win me back and he swore that he'll do EVERYTHING under the sun to prove that I should have him back, so I ran to Dianas house and bolted the door behind me. It's all that Robbie Williams fault for putting the 'fluence on us!
As you would expect doing EVERYTHING constituted a deathly silence till Tuesday when I got a text message on my Mums land line! Now this isn't quite as lame as it sounds because I've never given him my Mums landline number and hadn't told him I was going to my Mums because I didn't know I was going myself till about an hour before I got the ferry. But it's still not quite moving heaven and earth is it? Is this the sort of romantic persuasion I'm looking for?

The Godwin Returneth!
Posted: Friday, 17 February 2006 |
After an absence of almost four months Jeremy Godwin is gracing The Arran Banter readers with his unique wisdom once again, although in a more toned down and easier to understand style. Jeremy writes:
Sir,
By the look of it, Lagg鈥檚 character will vanish if the Dundee based firm involved gets it鈥檚 plans passed.
First get them to show you their plans and elevations to see how the houses will look when built and publish these, partly to let us have some idea of it, and partly to set it on record.
Otherwise, we proceed on supposition merely.
Yours, Jeremy Godwin.
The fact that the plans have been on display in the local planning office long enough for every resident in the village to complain and I don鈥檛 think the planning department are going to take much notice of an objection from Cumbria if they鈥檙e going to ignore the entire community is obviously beside the point and I鈥檓 sure the Oban Press will bow to the Godwins demands or black burning shame on them!
