Anne from Moving to Lewis!
Hey Sunny, great news, me thinks that things are looking up for you on all fronts!! I am sure Arran will be a happier place now with you there and your sunny smile. Fantastic !!! I hated reading your blogs of how unhappy you were on the mainland, and now you are back where you belong. Best wishes for the future too. I raise my glass to your future happiness. cheers.

I'm pure dancing with joy for you Sunny! All four feet in the air at once! M'Marmalade Chum would do the same but, due to circumferential problems, is unable to do more than grin widely.

Great news Sunny, I'm glad things are looking up at last, who knows where this can lead. Get him himself on to building a croft ASAP
Steve Rudd from Huddersfield, sadly a long way from Arran

Congratulations! Its lovely to hear good news and I wish you many many years of happiness together. PS I've ordered a new pair of wellies since folk are so rude about the poppy ones. Will blog an update when they arrive!

Oh You've moved me to tears! Thank you everyone! I'll pass your kind wishes on to himelf! By the was the 1st photo is a spot the Island Blogging Poster Competition! It's been a really busy weekend, a huge thank you to everyone who came in. It was lovely. I'm back to work on the mainland tomorrow but going to be opening the shop at weekends until it's sold. It's so good to be home, even if it's just for a few days.

Is it up on the wall straight ahead, between those two framed pictures?
Ruthodanort from Unst (and still mega-chuffed for you)

Is it the old one or the new one...it looks like the old one with the lobsterpots...I'd be SO excited if it was a new one, because I've never seen one here yet...
Flying Cat from upstairs at the library beside the noticeboard
Out with it, FC and Sunny. What is it? A close up, please
mjc from NM, USA
It's. the. islandblogging. poster.
Flying Cat from enunciating very clearly for foreigners
Thank you, FC, but what does it show? The old one depicts Stromness lobster pots? And the new one shows lobster in a pot (turning red, as per NiconColl)?
mjc from NM, USA
It mostly tells us how effing marvellous islandblogging is and how we must all join and the web address but absolutley nothing about spam, filtered or otherwise!
Flying Cat from Bil Posters will be prosecuted
It's the old one, haven't been sent a new one! If IBHQ wants to send new ones I'll stick em up all over the island!
Sunny from Back from doon sooth
Absolutley great news, congratulations to you both. Pleased to know the shop is to be open, it looked so forlorn when I was there in August, especially knowing that you wanted to be there and weren't. lots of love to you
Janette from Holmfirth
Just dropped into the shop for much needed supplies. It's such a relief to be able to get art supplies again! So glad things are turning round for you. All we need to do now is get you back to the island! The lad you've got running the place is very nice but he doesn't know his stuff the way you do.
Mary from Whiting Bay
Forgive me for being so horrendously behind, Sunny, but I am so pleased you're back in Arran. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2008
Arnish Lighthouse from Stornoway
Hi Sunny, If your shop is still for sale, how much do you want for it?
Tor from Stavanger
Yes it is Tor! 拢25K including all the stock, fixtures and fittings if it's done this month. I can't run it and work on the mainland at the same time so I'n virtually giving it away. Call me on 01592 560 411 if you're interested
Sunny from Exile
Just moved to Brodick and wonder what has happened to the shop which is empty?? And the Knitting Club, does it still meet? What has happened?
Andromeda from Brodick
I don't suppose you could be bothered to let us know What Happened Next Sunny? Hoping for the best possible outcome, but...
Flying Cat from paws crossed
The friend who went over to Arran to run the shop for me couldn't find affordable accommodation either. So I've had to clear out and shut up shop. We've had a long hard discussion about our future. We can't afford to live on our own island. Scotland has outpriced itself. We've decided to start a new life in Spain where the cost of living is about a third of Scotland and the weather is glorious. Hasta Luego!
Sunny from Exile
ANYBODY WANT A LIFESTYLE CHANGE. THERE IS A SHOP AND POST OFFICE FOR SALE ON THE ISLE OF LUING.
