what a weekend!

this has to have been a red letter weekend - ruthodanort AND muness view were guests in my hoose. Wow, such a privelege, such an honour... - ok stop grovelling.
We were attending the local craft fair, I was helping on a stall, what a lot of fun it was too.
Muness reminded me I owed him a meal. I haven't been botherin to cook for ages, so what a pleasure it was to rush home and rustle up a meal from barely anything... we had shoulder of lamb, wi olive oil and rosemary, garlic and black pepper. To cut down on the washing up ( which ruthodanort did, by the way) I bunged in tatties, onion and carrot into the roast tin. To make it a well balanced meal, I made cauliflower cheese. By the time they arrived home for the meal, I'd had more than one port for an aperitif, and couldn't care less about the meal....
they said it was very good... hope they meant it....
we had another guest - the dog - who left a present on my doormat as soon as he arrived - what a well trained dog he is! go on use my house as a toilet! And he really really likes playin wi his ball. Our old dog, who is hardly able to move these days, was totally disgusted - it was written all over her face - 'call that a dog?' 'plays with a ball?' 'ought to be ashamed of himself'
The weather has been particularly awful these last few weeks - its been wind and rain in huge quantities for ages. I have bargained for a new car, its from Aberdeen, and I have to take one car down on the boat and take the other one up on the next trip. If I go with the cars, its approximately 拢160. If I put the cars unaccompanied its 拢300 approx. But the forecast was too bad for me to go this weekend, and its going to be as bad next weekend, grrr.
