I think Scallowawife and TWS should start a Use More Brackets Party. Thats 2 seats in the Hoose already. If we could get someone from Argyle and Clyde then we would have 3. Anyone noticed a compulsive bracket user from that area? (Wanted to put loads o those different bracket things in here like FC did, but my keyboard seems to have only 1 set. Could this be the first item on the agenda for the Use More Brackets Party?)

I too received a whole bag of electioneering brochures, All the candidates look shifty to me. I am sooo confused I might just put them all up on the wall and throw darts at them.
Barebraes from Shapinsay
How about the Don't Use More Brackets {Party}? The perfect acronym...

Double width tarmac roads? We only have 40 yards of that in Fetlar. I found the candidates publicity materials really good. Mac & I used them to line the boot of the car & when we spilt some of his water they absorbed it really well.
Muness from Fetlar
Pylons? They never came to ask our views. Anyway its down south so its out of our control.

Thought you weren't allowed to blog about elections? Is IBHQ not looking?
Muness from Fetlar
{{{{(I tried the square brackets on my norsky keyboard but they didn鈥檛 work!)}}}} However, I must show Moo that I have 酶. 氓 and 忙.
Ruthodanort from showing off at my norski computer
Ruth, you should take your keyboard back and get a refund. I've never seen a keyboard that doesn't have all the brackets on it ({[ just to show off my bracketing skills ]}). Where would Tws be if he had a keyboard like yours?
Jill from EK
You definitely don't wan't a wind farm. Yes it will meen road and huge high pylons, all for shipping electricity to the wasters in the south.
Grim from Mainland
Hi all! I think you can talk about the elections as long as, at this point, you aren't blogging/ making comments which 'seem to favour one particular party, or which could be deemed to be encouraging or discouraging voters towards a party/candidate' (I quote IBHQ).
Anna from standing in for Anne
What elections?? That explains it. I thought that there seemed to be a lot of 10 minute long programmes on the TV about various minority groups in Scotland and their eccentric beliefs.

Lets give this blog a 1.

You can vote on me. I will work for the renuion ot Orkney, Shetland , Iceland, F忙r酶yane( see Ruth a norsk keyboard is just the thing) and the western Norway. We will get rid of Oslo, they only takes our money. We will control the oil , gas and the fish. Yes, why not vote for me.
Dag from Norway
Wow! That norski keyboard is pdb......so far on iBook keyboard I can find 氓, 酶, but haven't yet accidentally found ae. If you're going to be stuck with only one set of brackets, {} are much more decorative than [] or ().....
Flying Cat from Bracket Heaven

scallowawife from poised with pencil in hand, decision made

Hi Scallowawife, you had a problem who too vote for in the Council election I easily solved that problem, I stood for election myself and you guessed it 'lost',but on a visit to the newly named Orca hotel in this airt on Saturday night locals kept coming up to me saying 'sorry you lost 'Ollick' but at least you had a go'. Do you think any off them voted for me?
Ollickgob from Shetland Mainland
no no you didna lose, you just didna get enough votes, where's your political spin?
scallowawife from shetland
Thanks scallowawife,I should have known better, I know where to come now if I need a bit of spin, my gain, Tony Blair's loss!
