Synchronicity City... is this film anything to do with the Blackening custom as described by Hermit to me last week? I'd never heard the expression before and here it is again. Spooky! BTW, Happy Birthday to Ruthodanort, hope you have a good one!
Jill from EK
Go on then, spill the beans, WHICH BIRTHDAY????
Flying Cat from curiosity cott
FC, do you no think that wid be unladylike to admit to the actual number?
Ruthodanort from Unst
I am not so sure that her father is proud of her at the moment, but he has put himself up for the Council so is otherwise engaged. They are digging up Lerwick Street at the moment, I could help they fill in the holes!
Lerwick Trevor from Lerwick
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Ruthodanort, Happy birthday to you.
Bond, James Bond from A Secret Location
But you're just a young thing. Look at that beach babe photo on muness....barely out of pigtails and knee socks! Isn't Lerwick Street amazing...there she is being dug up, and yet she still manages to get her byline everywhere in the ShetlandTimes. Which we get...and read avidly every week...somehow, it just gets more and more interesting!
Flying Cat from an admiring glance
Ooooooooooooooooh. Bond, singing to me. All my dreams coming true at once. (Ok, thats a gross exaggeration, but it was nice. Tusen takk.)
Ruthodanort from Unst
It was really me that did the Bond thing Ruthiebabe, so don't get too excited. And anyway James Bond is a fictional character.
Tws from Lewis
Easy girl!
Muness from Baltasound
James Bond is real - I know this for a fact. who was it in the films then if it wasn't him really? He is so brave, so cooool and so sooo sexy. and he has a brill car. Actually in one of the films I starred in one of the leading roles - I was the voluptious dark skinned woman who shot his then girlfriend and bagged off with James (jimmy, as I call him) and... and....
scallowawife from in a dark room
You couldn't get away with comments like this on other island blogging blogs. Is this smut or lust Scallowawife? More sedatives required I feel.
Muness from Fetlar
Oh TWS, it's probably just as nice having you sing me a song as Bond. You seem like a nice bloke, and you take the bother to comment on blogs in birthday-esque style. Which is more than Daniel Craig, or Connery, or even Brosnan has done for me, so Tusen Takk!
Ruthodanort from Unst
Oh dear I'm not sure what's scarier now, Ruthiebabe being nice or otherwise?
Tws from Unsure
It now seems that The Blackening will be postponed until September. It isnt dark enough in Shetland in May/June. Well, there's a surprise!
Soljey from Shetland Mainland
A film about Lerwick Trevor's life? Now, that would be an eye opener. Certainly not suitable for children...
Deb Acle from Further afield than Shetland
Oh sorry I mis-read that as A film about Lerwick Trevor's w***. Which is quite appropriate really. (ST Friday 13th April page 22). *smug purr*
Flying Cat from EffCee & The Detectives
I am informed that there is also, alledgedly, a picture of Scallowawife on page 22. I can neither confirm nor deny this.
Lerwick Trevor from Holding magnifying glass
If it is a film about Lerwick Trevor, can I be the one in the Bristol Cities?
Tws from Getting into The Zone
no - unless thats me being resuscitated after a good night out? I have no memory of it anyway.
scallowawife from in da shetland times page 22
Sure you don't mean WITH, Tws? Gosh really. LT?
Flying Cat from Cheshire Grin
I agree with Deb Acle. Would a film about Lerwick Trevor's life be a retrospective? In that case be afraid boys and girls, be very afraid...
Anne Gwish from As far away as possible
A film about Lerwick Trevor's 'wife'? did I miss something flying cat? Has he got another wife already? I thought he no longer had a wife since she left him?
Deb Acle from Keeping well back
Yes, as ever you are correct EffSea,but this is not going to happen. Who are all these peoples with funny ( and not so funny ) names??
Tws from Whatsgoingonhere
Please, please, no more wives, the strain is far too much. The dog and cats will do just fine thankyou very much, so there!
Lerwick Trevor from Hiding in the dark
Tws I was thinking maybe the peeps with funny/not-so-funny names might be on the Lillian Gish....
Flying Cat from the booze cupboard
Aha, I sea EffSea, they may have partaken some illicit firewater, that I can no longer drink of myself, but I have memories. Which is why I no longer get Lillian Gished, or one reason??
Tws from Unknown ( even to me )
...memories are made of gish....
