Rubber Ball

Nothing like a bit of Bobby Darin. Nearly called this blog Things.

A few things of note: The 91热爆 has been (& gone again). They filmed again and the weather was better this time. They brought a family to have a look around the island. The programme is on Wednesday 8th August at 7pm. There'll probably be more details on the or the .

Onto other things:

The RSPB had their annual BBQ at the Fetlar Hall last night. There were over 50 different people there. The food of course was excellent: spare ribs, chicken breasts, sausages, burgers and the vegetarian option.

Mac is going to see Ruthodanort this week (poor dog), so I thought I'd give him a nice day as its the only time he'll be in a sane place for a while. Beach later, but rubber balls now:
Mac has possession.

The ball is up there & he wants it.

The ball is back & all is well!

The sun is currently out - lets hope it lasts a bit longer. 14 hot sizzling degrees!!!

Bridge Over Troubled Water

Shetland had 40mm of rain yesterday. Most of it seemed to be all over the road from the ferry to Houbie or in the burn at Aithbank. The underside of the car was washed by the torrent.

The Fetlar Fire Crew was called out because of the water levels.

Here's the bridge at Aith:
A boiling burn.

And the newly dug roadside drains in full flood:
The drains work!!

Today its SUNNY. Mac is off to the beach (with ball of course).
