Suspicious Minds

I've blogged in a trap,
I can't back out,
Because they're your pictures Ruthie.

Why can't you see?
What you're doing to me?
When you don't believe a word I type?

So, if an old friend I know
Gives me strange fish photos
Would I still see suspicion in your comments?

I'm so upset by anonymous' insinuations that I'm not going to blog for a few days.
Whimper! Licking of wounds!

PS I posted Ruthodanort's photos on the fishy blog.
(My photos were better anyway - I just couldn't be bothered to spend 15 minutes resizing them.)

PPS: Apologies to the Lyricist whose lyrics I've mangled in this blog.

Alternate Title

Just once or twice a year I may get something wrong.
I was sat behind PuffinBillyUnst on a plane this week and he pointed out an inaccuracy in one of my previous blogs. Apparently there is no such song entitled Good News Week. It should be Its Good News Week (By Hedgehoppers Anonymous). Apologies to PuffinBilly for this dire mistake.

PS: Quiz Question- the original title of Alternate Title was what then PuffinBillyUnst?

Living Doll

Only 8 red noses left in Fetlar.

Well it was a choice of which Comic Relief single to use as a title for the red nose blog. It has to be Cliff as Rick (of the Young Ones) would say.

Anyway the young uns o' Fetlar are organising a cafe at the school on Friday 16th March. Teas, Bacon Rolls, Toasties, Soups & Fancies all at charitable prices. They've even got a meal deal - The Big One for 拢5!

Lets hope they do well. Its for a good cause. Last time they had a coffee morning they raised 拢280. Such an enterprising bunch.

There is a raffle I heard - with a booby prize. Will the booby prize be red I wonder?

Dedicated follower of Fashion

Is this how Flying Cat visualises Muness?

What a 6 pack!

A stunning blonde!

Most people prefer not to visualise Muness.

There was fun at the school in the Comic Cafe on Red Nose Day.

Help!

Bananarama & La-na-nee-nee-noo-noo recorded this Comic Relief single I think.
Our local school is very enterprising for an island of around 60 folk.

I heard that they had raised just under 拢300 by 2pm this afternnoon. That's around 拢75 per pupil. Well Done!

The old noses are the best.

PS Its also 拢5 per head of population as well. Wow!

The Stonk!

Don't be a plonker - when you can be a stonker... Lets Stonk!

Our local school really stonked today for Comic Relief. 拢416 raised I hear.

Well done to all of Fetlar for the big effort! Such an amazing amount per head. i think its 拢104 per pupil.

Amazing!

Things really stonked today!

PS Fetlar Primary School had an Island Blogging poster up in its Comic Cafe. That IBHQ reaches everywhere!

The Power

Maybe 9000 volts would be a more suitable song title. Or something by The Power Station or Electricity by OMD?

We've had a power cut - cutting us off from heat & light of the real world. (I think it was all the Fetlar School Blogs overloading the system myself.) Apologies for them being blog hogs. They can't apologise themselves at the school has been shut today (due to no power).

We've were powerless from 8am on Sunday until 3pm today. The power went, of course, whilst I was making a cup of tea. The Hydro couldn't get anyone out yesterday to fix us as there were no ferries running due to the wind / tide / sea. It was some wind & a horrible day yesterday (18th). Doesn't seem to have done too much locally (other than make us freeze overnight with no power). Its noticeable when you wake up and can see your own breath. Delightful.
Which cable was it?

At least it was back on before the snow is due to arrive.
Felt really sorry for the engineer trying to fix problem in this weather. Thanks for doing it though!

Money For Nothing

It actually isn't money for nothing. Its a small amount of money to purchase a variety of excellent products.

The full range of products!

The Fetlar School has got to the business end of their enterprise project. They have made Ferry Timetables, Postcards & Bookmarks. They have made a variety of Ferry Timetables: ones for the car, ones for the pocket & the peerie ones. They are all easy to understand & cost 拢1. They even float on the sea if you drop them because they are laminated!

The postcards and bookmarks feature Fetlar scenes and are well worth buying.
