A Winter's Tale

Who will save us from this odd weather?
Dawn over the snow.

It's beautiful here at the moment. A little covering of snow made it seem really light at 7 am this morning. Did it cause anyone else to panic? I thought I'd slept in because it seemed to be daylight. It was just the reflection of the snow.

The School Road

We hope it doesn't snow anymore as we are supposed to be build a shaduff tomorrow as part of the school's Egyptian Topic. A fine clear day like this would be good, but please no more snow.

How on earth can anyone live in the toon when you have a view like that (pic 1) Perhaps you could raise up blocks of ice and make an ice pyramid with your shaduff. (pics please of the finished item if poss)

Barebraes from Shapinsay

Can we expect 'Walk Like an Egyptian' as the title of your next blog?

Dave Lee Traversty from Brue Lewis

It was only a Winters Tale by David Essex I think?

Tws from musicland

Blimey Tws is really coming into his own! *stands back in amazement*

Flying Cat from an admiring glance

Music is my first love and it will be my last, music of the future and music of the past, John Mills I think. I used to be quite hot on who sang what etc. but, my memory lets me down, although I'll name that tune in 6.

Tws from Themusicroom

Tws perhaps you can put me out of my misery then, Did Bob Holness play sax on Baker Street or is it a joke ?

Barebraes from Shapinsay

Its an Urban Myth. (Is that The Verve?) As to da Toon -nasty idea. Wouldn't do Walk Like An Egyptian - too obvious.

Muness from Fetlar

TWS John Mills was an old actor - John Miles is the ageing Geordie rockstar who is still writing themes for TV.

calumannabel from Poptastic Place Habost

Aha, I'm glad that someone out there spotted my deliberate mincesteak. Well done calumannabel, I was just testing you.
