Fog on the Thames!

Feel I must post a blog saying how my journey to the dark lands of the south went.
Well, I set off from Fetlar on the 21st and stayed a night at Schloss Soljey in the delightful company of Soljey & Consort. We had tattie soup which was amazingly good. I've never had this before.
After this we went to the Sumburgh Suite to see Ruthodanort who was down in the depths of the south for some reason. Don't know what she was doing there at night. Four posts or something was mentioned!!!
The TV was full of news about cancelled flights in some country called England, so I thought I may be spending Xmas in the Schloss. However, fog appeared to cause all my flights to run on time. My luggage even arrived on the same flight as me.
Fog is obviously a good thing, especially when its down south - even though it makes national news. Manchester Airport and the motorways were also empty, but clear of fog. I was in the chippy by 6:15. (Visits to chippies are essential as we don't have a chippy van or access to fast food in Fetlar. In fact the easiest way to eat out is either chippy night in Unst each month or a trip to the bright lights of Lerwick!)
I also entered into the Xmas spirit doon south by invading a local 24hr shopping experience at 10:30pm. Yes, I already have the new Fetlar School Xmas Tree & lights for 2007 & a pile of tatty tinsel. Can't resist decorations that have been reduced.
Shop, shop, shop when you are south. Its the only way to keep sane.
Happy 2007!

See Soljey's blogs for futher details about consort.

No, the Consort that Muness encountered at Schloss Soljey is a truly unique model. But she revs up my engine!

Please no, Soljey. Nasty mental image forming here. Yuk!

Oh dear. Is it anything to do with a big end?

I can vouch for the tat that Muness returned to Shetland with. I did wonder what the strange sound I kept hearing was - until I saw the Tat for Xmas 2007. I realised it had been the sound of the bottom of a barrel being well & truly scraped.

That wasn't the tat Soljey. That was the good stuff. The tat is still down south.
