I can vouch for Muness Views inability to be contacted by phone. Or maybe he's trying to hide from the bill for Mac chewing my boots. I think Mac was confused by the CAT logo on them.

Now I know who the Fetlar Blogger is! The Archbishop of Canterbury of course!! How did I not see clearly before?! ## Maybe Mac knew exactly what CAT stands for, and he was merely making the statement of an anti-fashionista. He is after all a Border Collie, not a designer dog.

Soljey - Are you blaming a dumb animal for the state of your boots now? The Consort may not have noticed your sneaky trips to the kitchen during the painting party, but Muness and myself did. I know there's not much food in the larder at Magnolia View, but there was no need to eat the leather off your own boots. I honestly thought the Consort's filled baguettes and the Waa's bakery fancies wid o been plenty to keep you goin.

Soljey-I have to apologise. As I am Mac-sitting for a week as Muness visits Herman in Orkney Mainland, I have been able to monitor the dog's behaviour. And yesterday evening I noticed he had a most unnatural liking for Son No 2's smelly trainers. So, it seems that I was wrong and you were right, the dog does indeed seem to have a Footwear Fetish.

Frankly if you're foolish enough to take a good pair of boots into a decorating zone, you deserve all you get! Besides, with two lots of vast disposable income, even the hint of a bill is in poor taste......unlike the boots which were delicious!

Fantastic to see Herman in Lidl in Orkney. The shopping metroplis of Kirkwall obviously lights his candle. Spend, spend, spend I heard. He even had his own chauffeur driven taxi to da toon & back. So much for a hard island life. I even got some magnolia paint from him.
