Story so far

Well, apologies for being absent for a wee while. A new writing project came on board and I had to focus on getting that up and running.
I felt really honoured to be asked to talk about Island Blogging yesterday on 91热爆 Scotland's Radio Cafe. Not on air long, but hopefully I didn't let the side down.
Another project is trying to write a sitcom, and the tempation to write one on the romantic activies in the islands via a weblog is very strong. You've already been talking about who would play each other, so I feel my work is nearly done, but I fear retribution if I don't portray each person correctly, so a brief character assassination, sorry summary, will be helpful.
I've made a start on getting fit for the football training. The first session is on Friday, so I'll find out how good/bad I've done then. I'm taking oxygen as I don't want to take any chances. If I survive, I'll let you know how I get on.
I've lost 2lbs already, but have a feeling that after football training I'll need to adminster chocolate, which will reverse that loss but hope I'll have worked it off and so even it out.
The Manse Cat has been cogitating (and I've cleaned up after him) and decided to plump for just the initials MC.
He was going to use Mighty Calvin, but fears that may give some Western Isles' residents a heartattack when he explains some of his activities.
In any case local cats may see that as a challenge so, as he often feels hiding under the bed is the better part of valour, he thought MC would be less threatening and kinda hip and happening, which is the sort of cat he is. (Well thinks he is).
Things seem sort of quiet on the blogging front. I guess the Fank took more out of you all than you anticipated. Hopefully you will soon feel strong enough in mind and body to get blogging again. Bless you all.

Football Crazy

Well, I survived the footie training, though my legs ached all Saturday, but by Sunday I could walk without creaking.
There were a good range of ages and shapes there, so I didn't feel too ancient.
Giving it a break this week, but back next week to save excessive ferry fares.
I put on the 2lbs I took off (perhaps muscle gain from the training!?)
MC came across the following website he thought other moggie mamas might appreciate. Though he does say - don't dare try it on him.

Just passing Through

Apologies for my absence, but I've been sneaking onto mainland Scotland again.
This time it was to take part in a female Stand-up competition in Glasgow. It was fun, but I don't think I'll make it through to the next stages, unless ALL the other contestants in the other 12 showcases are total pants.
Before coming south to find me, the husband picked up a cold and passed it to me by the time we got back on Saturday. A sort of sniffing relay. The journey home was interrupted by removing sacks of used tissues from the car and whoever was least ill doing the driving for half an hour.
I was staying with Mia and her troop of staff. Very accommodating they were too. Wonderful taxi service and even bacon butties for breakfast. Highly recommended.
MC decided to stay behind with the foster parents. Despite arriving late (early?) one very wet night and needing a good rub down before patterning their duvet with black paw marks, I think he and they enjoyed the visit.
Don't even ask about losing weight. The greatest exercise of the week was removing aforesaid bags from the car. We mananged to avoid too many 'bad things' in journeying munchings, but meals were sporadic and as healthy as motorway services can be. Ah well just more pounds to lose when back into a routine.
Anything interesting happen while I was gone?
Our Air discount cards haven't arrived yet - has anyone got theirs?
