I am going to blow my own trumpet now and blatantly advertise the fact that the Shapinsay Heritage Centre situated above the Smithy Restaurant is having an exhibition of Crafts and Art up until Christmas.
The members of the Art Classes that I attend have a collection of paintings etc on show and various goodies are for sale by the very talented ladies and gents of Shapinsay.
If you get time please come over you never know you might bump into me.
Remember its only 21 days to Christmas

A cheery welcome IB land for a tale I have to speak
Of Good and Baddy fairies and charactures strong and weak
A Panto Dame with a figure so curvy
A mean sea dog with a dose of the scurvy
A Principle boy with fishnet tights
A drunken man in charge of the lights
Some rhyme thrown in with lots of sighs
A fight with swords and Custard Pies
Yes its Panto time in the land of Shap
And we'll all be there every Lass and Chap
To make your Christmas time complete
You best not dally grab a seat
For this performance is one of a kind
It'll be so good it will blow your mind
We all wish you a Merry Christmas time
And please forgive my terrible rhyme
But we in Shapinsay wish to you
A peaceful year through and through
And from Mr B,Me and from Hooch
Hope you get a christmas smooch
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
And if your in Shapinsay between Xmas and New Year drop into our panto.
