Yes Its official
The grass is growing faster than the hair on Mr B's head and Hooch has started to feel the heat and is endlessly panting and drinking vast amounts of water to cool himself down
Why is this you ask ?
Well I think its official but you see its Summer here at last on Shapinsay and after days of fog and mist the weather has taken a turn for the better and all the little creatures ( and the big ones) are out in the fields rejoicing.
The oyster catchers are defending their eggs from the crows, The chicken is clucky in the hen house sitting on more eggs than she knows what to do with and the pesky fruit flies are invading the house to the extent that we have a jam jar half filled with wine to attract them into. So far the jars are full and Mr B has no wine to drink.
As promised I have been able to take a trip down the field to take some pics of the trees that we are hoping to grow here in this desolate treeless environment. I need to get down there with the strimmer as the grass is overtaking them at a rate of knots at the moment. But for now the painting and preparation of the house is overtaking events.
Hope you like the pictures and also hope that Summer is visiting you too
