Phew another milestone

Here we are in the middle of July fairly dry but not too warm and on schedule for being ready for the winter.

Yes folks the D.O.G. is now warm and dry in his new (temporary) living quarters also known as our new lounge.

We have replaced the wood burner all be it temporarily and have a fully felted battenned and watertight roof ....whooppee

The tiling has begun again and apart from the eaves which need boarding and ventilating a great weight has been lifted from our over burdenned shoulders.

Its all doonhill from here, well maybe with a few bumps along the way. It hasnt been easy and its been very stressful but it feels like were on the homeward leg of this epic journey.

Here are the finished pics

a bit of a difference

Great progress, you must be feeling quite pleased with yourselves! And no doubt Hooch is chuffed also... I hadn't seen a photo of your house from that angle before - the ground really slopes, has that caused you problems?

Time for a holiday in the sun...a tent on Tiree maybe.

Flying Cat from lost in admiration

Oh Flying Cat, how could you keep reminding bloggers of my ONE mistake, even an otter has to learn!!

Squidgy the Otter from Still smarting...

It's looking good, hang in there - it will all be worth it.

Carol from IBHQ

carol from over here

Thanks for all the good wishes , Jill to answer the question the ground did pose a problem as the ladder was too short so we had to use pallettes to stand on. Very wobbly but it did the trick :)

Barebares from Shapinsay

Congrats. Barebraes, Mr and Mrs. You both deserve a big hurrah, and, were I in your neighborhood, I would take you out for a drink (or two). You folks are real tough cookies, and versatile too.
