GypRock N Roll

Today its a dreary day with lots of rain and grey skies. The dog is curled up on his bed unable to summon up the energy to go in the garden to get wet again. Billy the cat has managed to get past security and steal a warm spot on the sofa. Mr B has taken out the Community Mini Bus complete with passengers to deliver them to the Lunch Club held one a fortnight. And what might you ask have I been left with?

The final peice of plasterboard went up this morning and I have just finished dotting the walls with gyproc plaster to cover up the screwheads and the joins. A messy job but someone has to do it. And tommorrow we will be able to start on the upstairs room, preparing it for all our stuff which is going to be transferred from the other end of the house so we can remove the final part of the roof (thats if it stops raining).

It certainly makes a difference to have a room finished, just a few more to go !!

Can't wait to paint it

Fpu likes the door (and admires all the other work)and says it's just like the ones in a friend's cottage in the Isle of Man. Where they are jetting (not quite, perhaps) off too tomorrow, leaving me and m'Marmalade Chum languishing onece again in Big Cage...sigh.

Its comming up real well. when you get back to roof tillng (conceate) i have a story to tell, from a practical maintenace view. Information given to me by people who had experianced problems after a number of years from installation.

I can't wait for the story Roy, Its always best to be armed with all the facts. Its funny but my first hubby had an Uncle called Roy who emigrated to Oz, coincidences are strange. FC are the pu's going for the TTs? Carol how did it go with Trevor?

It was the hundredth anniversary of the TT races. The Steam Racket said they had transported 19,000 motorbikes. If you are an incomer on "the island" you are a "come-over" and if you are visiting the British mainland, you are going "accross".

My son went to the TTs a while ago and participated in Mad Sunday when you can ride round the course. Hope the pu's were impressed by the bikes
