The Knitting In A Pub Club 22nd March Meeting

This week The Knitting In A Pub Club will be meeting at The Drift Inn Lamlash at 7.30pm on Wednesday the 22nd March Next week I think the plan is to meet in Brodick but will keep you posted. I'm waiting to hear back from Calumannabel and Donald regarding accomodation for the Dell Fank, if we can wangle somewhere to stay then great but if not I propose using this weeks meeting to knit a chalet to stay in for the duration of the Fank as it's still a bit cold for normal camping, especially as we will be wanting to maintain the most glamerous and polished images possible and that can be a bit difficult if one has spent the night in the cow shed.

So expecting a good turn out tomorrow night where we will discuss the finer points of the Fank. If Donald and Calumannabel can let us know what these are we would be most grateful.

Sunny, we in Shetland are very concerned about inter isles rivalry. we have decided that in the interest of fairness, we should not be worrying about polished appearances. how's about a truce - we won't dress up or use too much body shop products if you agree not to as well. that way its a level playing field and we won't shift the goal posts. we heard that your contingent were going blonde - to improve your chances. so we have decided that da nort isles wimmen will become red heads. the men will be intimidated. Any colour blind ones you can have. We think that's fair. we haven't sorted out how to address the problem of cross gender , maybe be a grey area? We are not going to knit anything, but damadcoo and ruthodanort know a bit about macrame and sailing, so we can tie people up in knots if necessary. We intend to leave on April 1st - keep an eye out, we hope to arrive about lunchtime. Trevor is bringing quiche. Annie Beag is making salad.

Cheers Scallowaywife! The only Body Shop we have is the car mechanics and as for boots, hiking only so dinnae fear! We will be arriving in our usualy array of hair colours and travelling oil skins as we are keeping our best padded tartan shirts and steel toe caps for the dance. Matching blonde has gone down the drain as the last vat of peroxide was all we had to clear it when it blocked last month. We are having ballast problems with the longship so might be delayed. Look forward to seeing you all at the weekend. X

Sunny from I haven't even packed yet!

Do you want 50p for the meter so you can start blogging again? Has Argyll and Clyde closed down for a week?
