Went off on the 2 ferry at Port Appin on Sunday to head down to Stirling for a friend's birthday. Noticed the Central Scotland Polis caravan set up in the Green Welly Car park, noticed the motorbikes at the Tourist Info car park, noticed the panda car at Lochearnhead.
Now I know from friend's experiences that the best thing to do when going through the wee villages on the road down to Stirling, is to stick to the speed limit.
There was one driver several cars behind me, who was dodging the oncoming traffic to move up the line. Approaching Strathyre I slowed down to 30mph so that I was doing 30 when I went through the signs.
There he was, trying to get in my boot, flashing his lights and the minute he was through the signs I heard him drop a gear and go roaring past me.
As he went past he was cursing me and giving me hand signals, however I just smiled back at him and then grinned widely as he faced the front again and noticed the CS Police man standing with the speed gun in his hand and indicating that he should pull over....
I know it was wicked of me, but I smiled and waved as I passed them...
