Would this be the easier way of getting a 拢1m?

Has anyone else seen the car advert with the wee laddie buying a car for a 拢1. And the follow up advert where he's lying down with 拢1000 all around him.

Well what I was wondering is: If you were to buy the car for a 拢1, and then get the 拢1000 cashback as advertised, would you then go and buy another 1000 cars at a 拢1 each, and get 拢1000 back for each of these 1000 cars. You could then put the money back in a high interest account, getting the interest paid monthly into another account, sell some of the 1000 cars you've bought, put that money into the "interest paid" account, and pay off the outstanding balances you have. Money left over would surely be pure profit.

Or am I looking at this too simply?

It's got to be worth a try! (You do need to get out more - but evidently so do I)

Mel from Coll

I can't fault either of the conclusions of Mel from Coll, and have to agree that I really out to get out more also.

It reminds me strongly of my wife's brother Alisdair, who died in May 2002 after a long fight againsta brain tumour. During the last year of his life he made a point of completing and returning every credit card application that came through his door. He then slightly (yet incredibly amusing) perverse in ringing them up after he was declined and demanding to know why...

In case anyone is interested, you can learn a little more about Alisdair 'Jim' Sutherland by following this link: http://www.this-is-jim.org.uk/

Cheers

Gary Sutherland from Tobermory

Hi Gary, You dont know me, but I knew Jim, he was a great friend. He is missed. I have seen the This is Jim site - but there are no contact details on there. That was just like Jim to send off the credit cards... always remember his amusing answer phone messages... He was a great friend... Shaun
