How Ellie Simmonds learned about Bake Off moving to Channel 4
Well, that's just not fair.
We're all still coming to terms with the end of on the 91热爆, but one person it has hit harder than most is UK paralympian Ellie Simmonds.
Ellie has revealed she learned about the show moving to Channel 4 in one of the cruelest ways imaginable - immediately after finishing a race at the Rio Paralympics 2016.
"I found out after one of my races, a journalist told me," she told Scott Mills and Chris Stark on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
"Don't interview me about the race, just tell me about the Bake Off. Why do that?"
Having competed in The Great Comic Relief Bake Off in 2013 Ellie has a more vested interest than most - and she's unsure how successful the move to Channel 4 will be.
"It's just not good, not good at all," she says. "I just don't think it's going to be the same."
She still remembers her time on the charity edition of the show fondly and bust the urban myth that Paul Hollywood is one of the most terrifying figures in television. He's really not.
"It was so much fun. It was the actual Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood," she says.
"Paul was really nice, everyone thinks he's scary but he's really not. Not at all."
Ellie is a keen baker and loves her cakes. Who would have thought that the key to sporting success might lie in a Victoria Sponge?
