The 91热爆 has been. Yes the weather was misty & damp. Just the image we want to portray of the Garden of Shetland in Summer. If only they'd been here on Wednesday.
The pupils got to play concertina, do some work and play outside all for the cameras. The film, which is to be narrated by a young islander should go out next Wednesday at 7pm.
Crew getting ready.

The crew are now off filming different people around the isle, before having a group shot tonight.
Filming in progress.

School is now closed again!

Jill from EK

me too but I don't think it's on in England - it's not in our TV Guide. Any ideas Anne? What will it be called?

alix from west mids

Hi Alix, Not sure why it's not in your TV guide but The One Show is definitely on 91热爆 One across the UK at 7pm. Here's the programme's website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow/index.shtml

Anne from IBHQ

Hello, just seen the 91热爆 programme OneShow. You all seem a real friendly lot and just wanted to say that if I wasn't such a wrinkly I would be very tempted to ask to join your community. Wishing you all the best of luck in your endeavour.

T from Isle of Wight

We saw you! We all want to move to Fetlar now! Particularly since our car was broken into last night, it must be so nice not having to live under lock and key. Work would be an issue for us though. What a beautiful island. I hope you get some families.

alix from west midls

Have tried to apply to come and join you, but the oneshow get in touch bit does not seem to be working. Will keep on trying and trying. Twin girls 8 would love the school Julie

Julie from Llanwenog

I would like to visit the island, this august and see if we could buy there a house to stay - I have a concrete project . This island is simply my dream

Van Torre Linda from Brussels -Belgium

Saw the excellent article on the one show. we would dearly love to know the requirements for moving to your island with our children.

andy gallacher from South wales

I've already commented on the IBHQ blog about the brilliant broadcast. It seems to have aroused some interest, so I do hope you get the result you want!

Seems like the answer to our dreams but what are the employment prospects! Not afraid of hard work if it's available!

Tracy from West Midlands

Like everyone I saw your show, the only problem now is the whole world wants to live with you. It would be the place i would love to raise my children

Nolan David from South Wales

I have lived on Fetlar and it is a beautiful place but it is not always an easy place to live. You all seem to have forgotten the problems the island had in the 90s which made the national newspapers. I notice that Rachel conveniently forgot to say that since she was 13 she has spent most of the school terms in Lerwick. I would also imagine that she is going away to university soon. Fetlar tried to bring people to the island before and look what a disaster that was. Sorry to be negative but the film hardly showed the real Fetlar. You can leave your keys in your car nearly anywhere in Shetland except Lerwick.

anon from uk

As a former resident of Fetlar i would agree that living there is not always easy, but where is nowadays ? Island life is not for everyone.I grew up on Fetlar and can think of nowhere better to bring up your children. I would also like to point out that you do not have to stay in Lerwick all week for secondary education any more. You now have the option of traveling to a neighbouring isle which allows you to return home every day. Many children all over the country have to travel to attend school,i do not see this as a mainly Fetlar problem. As for University, yes you have to leave home but surley this applies everywhere?

pooh from shetland

What a pity anon. is shy! Having said that, it would be interesting to know about Fetlar's recent history. In my (limited) experience small islands are not easy places to live and require strong skills - like realism and common sense! But that doesn't mean they can't be happy and rewarding places to live. Whatever went wrong in the '90s - hopefully lessons will have been learned so it (whatever it was!) doesn't happen again. Oh, I'm agog now :)

Kath Hayward from Stoke on Trent

Well said Pooh, couldn't agree more!

ALLIE from EDINBURGH

Could you send me some details about coming to live on your island

Jeanette Grice from High Heath, West Midlands

Jeanette: We'd need a contact address to send information to. Your best bet is to email fetlarcc@yahoo.co.uk or info@fetlar.com
