VIP TRIP

One of our pupils went to the grand opening of the Shetland Museum & Archive. We sent him to Lerwick with the school camera and instructions to take lots of photos.

Here's his report.

The Queen of Norway

The Queen of Norway came on her ship.
The opening.

She was there to open the new Shetland Museum.

Prince Charles

Prince Charles and Camilla were there.

The plaque

They all opened the flag on the plaque. I think a bodyguard helped.
The Grice

There was lots to see in the Museum.

Fetlar school mixing with Royalty!! The museum looks great, I saw it on the news and can't wait to see it for myself.

Allie from Edinburgh

Great pictures, can't wait to see the place for myself!

Ruthodanort from Unst

Wow! Brilliant photos. I especially like the wild boar - didn't one escape in Fetlar a few years ago?

Well impressed from Another galaxy

No, Well Impressed - the wild boar was me making my guest appearance in the Time Team special from Fetlar.

Soljey from Shetland Mainland

Did Chas say "Hello your Grice"....?

Flying Cat from not bowing and scraping

Your picture of the wild boar is a much better one than the one I took. I got a fairly good one of the cow, though.
