I'm still trying to work that out.....it's awfully philosophical...Kant quite get there. Did Anita Shreve fall off the map?

What specialties will be offered in your restaurant/hotel? Do you accept Dinars? (of course you welcome diners, I know that, but Dinars and Rupees?).

The Coll Hotel can be googled, mjc. Well, I enjoyed it...

Re-read that blog. It's awfully dis-jointed. FC, I got three quarters through Anita Shreeve, went to book club and discovered the end, so I thought I'd go back and read the beginning again. I still might. But probably not for some time. Mjc, if you want to pay for your meal in dinars we are more likely to say yes after you've eaten than before you order. Venison and crab feature in this year's menu. I prefer the venison, it comes ready to cook! The crabs have to be boiled and shelled. By August me and trainee chef will know far more about each other than is necessary through chat while preparing another load of crabs.

Shouldn't there be a question mark at the end of the title ? As seen here? And here? Oh and here as well ??And to answer your question time goes round and round in a clockwise fashion. Does that help you in any way ??? Please tick which is best....................... This answer was great........................... This answer was mediocre..................... This answer was a load of B*llocks......... Thank you for visiting Twsipedia
Tws from School of Corrections
I think you're right Tws, there should have been a ? in the title, but Nic is too busy becoming familiar with her trainee chef and a rather disturbing amount of (disjointed) crabs....and there's no vet on Coll....

Too busy writing 'I must remember question marks' for teacher Tws to blog. Trainee chef looks very smart in his new chefs jacket, and a satisfyingly large amount of crabs arrived while I was absent with leave down at the burger van.

Very practical, Nic, very practical. Have a very good season. May your clients order venison ("Our venison is particularly good this year ...").

If no-one reads the books what do the book club do?
Caraid from Glasgow
Caraid: I am afraid that folks with Support your Local Bookseller t-shirts have been spotted (cf. Google Earth - ?) jogging some evenings on the deserted tarmac of Coll International Airport. The craze for physical rather than mental agility seems to have taken Coll by storm.

Mjc - the Coll Run is on the last Saturday in August this year. Caraid - The book club also reviews wine.
Nic from Coll
Nic, hopefully the wine reviewing is followed by wine tasting. # Let us all have more info. on the Coll run.
mjc from NM,USA
This might explain why it's difficult to get to the end of a book...

book review and wine review in the same evening - do you do the wine first - so that honest opinions come thru about the books?

The Coll run is a half marathon run round the west end of Coll. It didn't happen last year because of the airport construction. I might suggest this year's run uses the runway as part of the course!! I think it is raising money for the play park this year, there may be 5k and 10k runs as well, and there is bound to be a ceilidh after...FC I was inaccurate about the wine reviews, we just drink the stuff. I get much more passionate about beer and whisky than I do wine.
Nic from Coll
Aye Nic, agree about the beer and whisky, i get as passionate as a newt with them but the wine is more difficult.
Wee Dram from Old Mull
Just don't get passionate with a newt!
Nic` from Coll
Never mind running on the runway... it would be perfect for drag races!!!
