Totally Unbelievable

The unthinkable has happened in the pub. Not once but twice! Occupying pride of place on the Gannet bar is a barrel of Loch Fyne鈥檚 dark beer, Vital Spark. Last week end we had a barrel of Piper鈥檚 Gold. As some of us expected, the barrel disappeared in two and a half days. The Vital Spark was tapped last night (Thursday), and is probably less than two thirds full now, so I doubt there will be much left by Sunday when I get some time spare. However we have a stash of Fyne Ale glasses so hopefully there will be a steady supply of real beer through the winter.
Some excellent pool was played, but not by the beer drinkers. I don鈥檛 think they could have focussed that well.

It's the wind, the harder it blows the faster the beer evaporates.......... sience has an excu.. ahem.. answer for everything

Good for you getting the decent beers in, anybody reported any, er, after-affects of the Vital Spark? I drank a few too many pints of siad beer the other night and suffered some serious flatuloselence for days (!)

Malcolm from Edinburgh

I only managed to drink one pint. I must re-jig my shifts. The Vital Spark ran out about one and a half hours later than last week's Pipers Gold, although that is probably more to do with bonfire night than the merits of the beer. Hi Malcolm, I was afraid you'd abandoned IB. I'll ask Ming about the beer effects, although he suffers those effects even when sober!!

I hope this continues into the summer for us thirsty tourists, can't get a pint of ale within 10 miles of oor toon

Finbar Furious from Ale free zone

At least I managed a pint of the Spark, having failed dismally to get some Pipers.
