You Will Need
A new Event or an existing Event in Eavis. .
1. Edit Live Event Settings – Quick Guide
1. Select Live Stream Type - Navigate to the Live tab and click on the Settings heading. Select 91热爆 Live from the Live Stream Type drop-down menu.
2. Select Coverage Page Theme - The coverage page branding is mostly taken from the event branding, but the live page needs a bit more information. Use these controls to choose between the Dark and the Light themes (Dark is the recommended setting).
3. Select Cross Promo Display Type - This controls the cross promo layout when the event is in "Live" mode. Initially it can be left as the default option of "Don't show". When your Event is Live, select one of the following options using the drop-down menu: 1 stream, 3 stream or 7 stream. Once activated, the cross promo will appear at the top of your /event homepage.
4. Make Event Live - Use the Event Not Live Toggle Switch to turn your Event into “Live” mode. Once you have toggled the switch an Event Live message will display.
2. Create Coverages - Quick Guide
Individual 91热爆 Live coverages are managed via the "Coverage" section of the "Live" tab. This page displays a summary of existing Coverages and provides the option of adding a new coverage.
1. Create The First Coverage - To create the first coverage for the event, navigate to the Live tab and then click the Coverages heading.
2. Edit Main Coverage Settings - There are several options to fill out on this form:
- Hero Image PID – This is the default hero image for the coverage. If the coverage is linked to a stage, it should be an image relevant to the stage.
- Headline – The headline appears on the 91热爆 Live page when it’s in a pre-live state. As soon as an associated act from the Timeline starts it over-writes the headline. If there are gaps in the Timeline (i.e. there are no acts on stage), the headline also displays on the 91热爆 Live page.
- Summary – This is displayed in the Event Info tab before a coverage starts and is also used as the page description by search engines for display in search results.
- Start Time – This is the start time of the coverage.
- End Time – This is the end time of the coverage.
- Publication Status – Use this drop-down menu to control the publishing status of your Event. Select one of three options: Publish (this publishes to live), Draft (saves as a draft) or Withdrawn (this withdraws the page). N.B. ‘Withdrawn’ does not delete a page completely from the content store. If you try to visit a coverage that has been ‘Withdrawn’ then you’ll see an error message.
- Live Status – This determines the status of the coverage. In general, this will be set to Auto, which results in the coverage ending at the end time. You can also set a Coverage to Closed, which will hide it from the Live Coverage tab. If your Event is over-running indefinitely, switch the status to Live. This will override the scheduled start and end time for your Event.
- Event Stage – This is the stage that the coverage should be linked to. This triggers the Line-Up Module to default to the correct stage. To hide the Line-Up Module, set the stage to "None" (see page 8 for more information).
- Key Points – You can add key points using the blue Add key point button. They will appear in the Summary tab. Six is the maximum number you should aim for due to how this setting appears on mobile devices.
3. Edit Live Blog Settings - There are several options to fill out on this form:
- Enable Live Blog – This determines whether the Live Blog will be displayed on the coverage page.
- Storify User Name – This is the Storify account where the relevant Storify blog was created. If the Storify URL is https://storify.com/91热爆/glasto-mon, then the username is "91热爆". In most cases this will be the "91热爆" username.
- Storify Identifier – This is the identifier for the Storify blog. If the Storify URL is https://storify.com/91热爆/glasto-mon, then the identifier is "glasto-mon".
- Facebook URL – This is the Facebook link that appears in the "Get Involved" dropdown. N.B. This needs to be the full web link, starting with "http://" (e.g. http://www.facebook.com/91热爆Radio3).
- Facebook Caption – This is the link text for the Facebook link that appears in the "Get Involved" dropdown (e.g. "Contact us via Facebook").
- Domestic SMS – This is the UK SMS number that is displayed in the "Get Involved" dropdown.
- International – This is the SMS number that is displayed on IFS pages in "Get Involved".
- Author Name – This is the author name that is displayed in the Live Blog byline.
- Author Image PID – This is currently not used on 91热爆 Live.
- Author Description – This is currently not displayed on 91热爆 Live pages but needs to be entered if you want the Author name to be displayed.
- Twitter Hashtag – This is the Twitter hashtag that will be used to generate the link to Twitter, as displayed in the "Get Involved" dropdown (e.g. "bbcglasto"). You can also add Twitter handles in this section. N.B. This should not include the hashtag symbol.
- Twitter Caption – This is the link text for the Twitter link that appears in the "Get Involved" dropdown (e.g. "Tweet us").
4. Edit Episodes
- Live Episodes – Click on the blue Add episode button and paste an Episode PID into the blank field to add Live Streams to the coverage.
- Highlight PID – A highlights collection PID can be entered here to add clips to the Highlights tab on 91热爆 Live. .
5. View and Edit Coverages - Once some coverages exist, the Coverages tab shows the full list of coverages for an Event. Click on a blue link to edit a Coverage.
- Reorder Coverages – Coverages can be ordered within the list by using the up/down arrows to the right of each coverage. This order is used to power the cross promo on the Event home page as well as the Related Sessions in the Live Coverage tab.
- Delete Coverages – Once a coverage page has been published, it is not possible to delete it but coverages can be set to a Closed status. This then prevents it from appearing in the Cross Promo module and Live Coverage tab as a related session, and so is no longer promoted to the audience.
3. Add Timelines - Quick Guide
Once a Coverage has been created, performance information can be added via the Timeline tab. When the coverage is active, the current act name and image, as per the Timeline, will appear in the header of the 91热爆 Live coverage.
1. Attaching To A Performance - To add performances navigate to the Timeline tab and click the green + button next to the relevant coverage.
In the following window, select a performance from the Select performance drop-down menu.
N.B. This dropdown should not be used for Coverages that contain delayed transmission simulcasts or webcasts (e.g. Red Button). For these types of Coverage, act information should be manually entered into the "Details" section.
2. Add Details To Display
With a performance added, you will need to fill out the rest of the Performance form. The simplest way to do this is to click the blue Copy Details from Act button (this will automatically fill out the Act Name, Hero Image PID and Description). Once complete, click the green Save button.
Alternatively, fill out the form manually:
- Act Name – This is the act name that is displayed on the 91热爆 Live coverage and cross promo when the act is current.
- Description – This is the act description that is displayed on the 91热爆 Live coverage and cross promo when the act is current.
- IPTV Subtitle – This information is displayed on IPTV.
- Hero Image PID – This is the Image PID of the act-specific hero image for the performance (recommended image size: 1680x945 pixels – ).
- Start Time – This is the start time of the performance.
- End Time – This is the end time of the performance.
N.B. A specific performance can be edited by clicking on the performance from within the timeline.
3. View / Edit Timeline
Once you’ve added performances to a Timeline, you can view them under the Timeline tab.
Hover over an Act to view details and click on the blue link to edit details.
4. Line-Up Module
The Line-Up module is a mini version of the Line-Up page and is therefore powered by the same data. The Now and Next indicators work from the Timeline information.
N.B. For Events where the webcast contains content from different stages, the Line-Up Module can appear confusing due to the fact that Now and Next indicators do not relate directly to the video coverage. In this case, it may be desirable to keep the Line-Up Module turned off, or alternatively it can be improved by setting up a stage called "Live Stream" and then creating an associated Timeline that includes the acts that are featured in the video coverage.
