~ Carpet of Leaves ~

How the Autumn
Has colours to please
Where ever one
Had a wish to walk.

A kirkyard once
Visited by many
Quiet was the scene
Of past memories
Of loved ones
Now here
They rest
In peace.

Flowers
Are few
For some
What seem
Abandoned
and uncared.

Such is the state
Of ancient past
The gravestones
Reveal much
To we - the unknown.

Nature takes care
When none
Who visit
For it allows
Colour to enter
With its
Carpet of leaves.

I love cemeteries. My daughter thinks I'm a freak. She always asks if I have been visiting deid folk again? I love the silence, the history and the solitude.Mind you,I always have conversations with past relations as if they are still here.

A nice verse IP, but too many Capital letters, which leaves the reader pondering as to the start and end of sentences. I've seen Pyramid Poetry before, where the poem begins with a one word line then two, then three, etc. I think that you could be very good at that style, however it is up to you. A nice, pleasant read, as ever. Cheery...
