Dag`s Pics of Beautiful Norway!

I looked at these pictures and wished I lived in Norway! Isn`t it right bonny? Many thanks to Dag for letting me post these here. :-)
(betting that Massey Fergusson is a familiar sight to farmers in Orkney)

What great photos! Thanks to Hermit and Dag. The one of the fjord with the heather (?) plant is just brilliant. What is the little stone hut, Dag? I love the grass and flowers on the roof.

ps I just noticed in the last picture Dag's lovely dog! Is he/she an elkhound? How about a pic of his face (rather than the other end)? :-)

Very nice photos. Dag's farm clearly is in a very picturesque area. Thanks.

It looks lovely, I'd love to visit Norway but it's supposed to be very expensive for British people. I'm going to have one of those mini cruises one day from Newcastle. Hermit, I wish someone could give me a lesson in emailing pics and doing things with them on the PC, I am so behind the times!

There is very little of Norway that isn't a picturesque area, it seems to me. Everybody should go there on hodilay. Even the rain is friendly.

Flying Cat from an old photo album

The old stone hut is from a time when farm animals were grazing in the mountains in the summer. The farmers were staying in these huts making butter, cheese, sour milk and so on. My grandparents have lived in the hut where I am sitting. It's the only hut that still remains in our area. The dog is a elkhound, a she, called Bamsi, belonging to my sister. Bamsi was too busy watching the salmon, she would not " smile" to the camera. I'll send a couple of good pics to Hermit, so if you want,Hermit, you can publish then. Norway is not so expensive. I have travelled a lot in Scotland and the prizes are quite similar. The only thing that is expensive in Norway, is alchohol. So a big welcome to Norway to all of you.

Dag from Norway

there are similar huts in the highlands Dag, they are called sheilings and served the same purpose. :-) Yes please to some pics of Bamsi! Love dogs.
