weather girl from the usual place
I have heard about the flood hitting specially Pennan even from Norway. I like the coast and the villages from Portgordon to Fraserburgh. I have eaten Cullen Skink in Cullen. Cullen is a very nice place and the soap was delicious. We didn't make to Pennan then, but we are planning a trip this autumn. Hope they have cleaned up the mud.

Do give us a full report on the County Show. It's one of the few things I miss. We have those sort of things down here - but it's all a bit big and convoluting for the likes of little ol' me. The County Show - the only day there's more folk on the ferries than on the outer islands. Surely a good enough reason for a set of bridges as I've ever heard. Hope your stall goes well.

MC (meaning Mighty Calvin or Manse Cat - NOT madcat!!!)...............is doing okay...................We had a forced bath to rid him of some unwanted hitchhikers followed by a fight with another cat (probably telling him he smells like a girl!) so he has been very grumpy and a bit tender in the wounds for the last two days.

weather girl from from the nursing home
Poor MC suffering the indignities of total immersion against your will. You don't seem to have had a great time of it down in the Deep South so far. I favour the blue spot solution to unwanted visitors; a bit dampish for a short while, but much less of an indignity! Hang in there old chum, liff is a cabaret...whatever that is!
Flying Cat from in sympathy
apologies Hermit for hijacking your blog................................................................................. MC was duffed up AGAIN - methinks by the same cat - judging by the fur in MC's claws. This time getting a swipe IN the ear. Lot's more grumbling and no time for a second rinse......The hitchhikers has established themselves well and left lots of debris, so the wash was not just to rid the HHs................ We're heading to Edinburgh on Saturday and MC is traveling with us for some respite care and fields of rabbits at my parents' farm. Although they say they have stoat/weasels around - do they go for cats?
MadLamb from Nursing again!!!
Have a good trip and a wonderful time MadLamb. Maybe you could find some of that Stornoway sausage in Edinburgh.

13 comments...that might be unlucky. But now it's 14 so that's okay. Phew!
Flying Cat from bringing good luck
No pictures in the blog subsequent to this one, Hermit. No access there for comments either. I expect IBHQ will fix the problem soon. Good to have you back, Hermit!
