And the same to you, Hermit. It's quite a nice day here (so far), so maybe the evening light might not be obscured by rain clouds this year! Your own longest day on Sanday must be quite something. Ah, the nights are drawing in...

I don't understand this blog of yours HL. ( just this one like, not all the others, well there has been a few that have gone right over my head, like a one-legged Starling, rolled 2 blogs into one there, didya C that HL, I'm also gonna practise my txtng, skills, peoples from the former Yugoslavia must be good at txtng, they don't have many vowels, but I digress ) Right you want the darker daze, but you want long sunny daze, or as you put, proper dark nights. As for the sleeping I always find closing my eyes and shutting my brain down helps ( the shutting the brain down bit usually happens before I close my eyes, sometimes well before I close my eyes, like 12 hours or more, oh this is a comment & not a blog, silly me) Cheers HL....

Thanks Hermit, same to you. I usually go up to Brodgar and make contact with all the stones, then have a wee drinkie. Torn between believing people should have access to the site, and then getting annoyed with them when they abuse the priviledge! I never ever thought I would say it, but sometimes I look forward to the winter - a good fire burning, a bit of music, a view of the Milky Way or the Merry Dancers, all those evening classes....it's not so bad really!

Happy Midsummer and Blessings of the Goddess to you Hermit!
