What a hunk! Fpu is heard to mutter into a beard near here that facial hair seems to be connected with certain character traits....
Flying Cat from chasing the hentilags
It's scary, I even spoke to someone who didn't carry a coat to walk to work this morning. A whole weekend of sunny glorious weather, very scary, global warming gets to the Northern Isles.

Amazing. He looks just wonderful. Are those weapons of mass destruction, Hermit, which he is carrying around so majestically? What kind of goat is he? What kind of character does he have? Lots of upkeep? Who knows: maybe I could get one to grace the homestead in southern Indiana?

He's precious.

He`s a Saanen billygoat, and yes, those horns are indeed lethal weapons as anyone who`s ever had tae trim a goats hooves under them will ken...he`s a softie though, a real sweetheart with nae malice in him unless his ladies (that`s the other goats btw, no` me or anyone!) are threatened. Goats arenae that dear tae keep and suitable for most places I think mjc. He was just a peedie thing when I got him so it`s been great tae watch him (and the horns) grow apace. I do like goat meat, milk and the skins are used tae mak` bodhran drum skins. :) (or rugs if the hair is good and thick)

What a handsome creature he is! And he seems to have a pretty nice life, too... no wonder there's a hint of a smile on his face. Can you spin with ordinary goat wool (like angora goats) or is it not suitable? Do you shear goats, like sheep?
Jill from EK
what a hunk!! how old is he?
carol from in the usual place
Angora goats. Goats are like sheep: shear them first, and eat them next. I must admit that I like goat in madras curry, or goat vindaloo, better than the mutton version. How's exotic cooking with you, Hermit. I am just scouting the dinner table. It would be heart breaking to chow down that nice billy goat though. How old is that goat by the way, and do the horns get much bigger?
mjc from NM,USA
Jill, I wouldnae try tae spin wi` his coat, it`s hair not wool and doesnae really have the `hook` wool has that mak`s it easy tae spin. At the start o` summer they shed, just like dogs, and get bald patches and look very scruffy! mjc, aboot as exotic as I get wi` me cooking is tae add a bottle o` guiness tae me goat or rabbit stew! he`s aroond five or six, and the horns are still growing though I`m hoping they dinnae get that much bigger...he keeps getting stuck in the wire fences!

A lovely beard on yer goatie Hermit, I'm quite jealous, as I trimmed mine own, but did it so badly that I had to shave it all aff.
