Elspeth's Christening Gown

Elspeth was baptised on Sunday the 14th but I don't have those photos available yet. Here are some pictures of her christening gown ~ hand sewn by Cousin Dawn from Alaska! Of white silk, no less!

Like a china doll!

I'm so tired. I can't type any more. Zzzzzzzzzz...

Lovely pics and a stupendous gown! Are you coming over to the other isles blogging site? I hope so - I would miss you otherwise! http://island-blogging.co.uk/

That can't be a real baby. Not the sort that keeps you awake at all hours. She's too beautiful.

Nic from On Coll very briefly

Great job, Dawn! Stunning gown! You, my sister, look fantastic by the way! It would seem that motherhood, no matter how trying at times, agrees with you. The white Christmas tree is killin' me, tho....reminds me of Nanny's silver tree. :P

Willow from Vegas, Baby!!!

What a beautiful baby !!! But I miss your updates - have you moved to the other site or where can we go to get our updates on Elspeth's attempts to keep her mum on her toes?

The Plant Lady from On the other side of the Lyde Road

Hi JH, I wanted to e-mail you, but you don't have a posted e-mail addy. I found this other blog you have, so I hope you don't mind. Number one, that's a pretty gown for your baby! Number two, being a Navy vet, I know a bit about firefighting also; all sailors had to undergo annual training in firefighting, since fire is so hazardous at sea. Anyway, we DID use water on Class B fires, such as the one that happened in your husband's shed. That was delivered as a high velocity fog, which will not only cool the burning material(s); it will also disperse oxygen, thus extinguishing the fire. You can leave your reply on my blog. If you like, you can just put "NFP!NFP!" across the top, so I'll know not to publish it. Or, you could leave an OT comment. MarkyMark

What a beautiful baby, and a becoming gown! I got here from ave maria page on blogger. I just wanted to agree with you on the women going home and leaving the jobs for men. It would cause a good raise in wages, too. Oh, and are you familiar with My Catholic Village or The Circle?

Michelle, Elspeth is so beautiful! Enjoy each and every moment - even those when you can hardly keep your eyes open! I have a little care package coming your way. I am hoping to get it out this week. Much love to you all! xoxo Cat

Hey! Just to let you know I mailed out your package on the 12th (Feb.). They told me it would take anywhere from 6 to 10 days - be on the look out! :O) Yesterday I was at the University of Louisville visiting the art museum there and while walking on the campus I saw most of the girls in the cutest rubber boots. When Elspeth gets big enough to wear shoes and walk about...I'm going to have to find these boots and mail them to you. The boots were in all different colors and designs - just plain cute! I hope this finds all 3 of you well. Lots of hugs and kisses to Little Miss! xoxoxo Cat
