I have a hen nest!

I've wanted one of these hen nests for years. But with all of my moving around I held off because I didn't want it to get broken. And now that I'm settled I have one in a lovely cream color!

Drats - it's 12:20pm!! How time flies! With all of the calving excitement I'm behind schedule. I'll have to put off praying the Office of Readings until after I get the tatties on...

Is that the hen the Boswells had in Bread? Portmeirion do a beauty in plain white - quite valuable if you find one.

I hae a broon one o` them, I love it! At the minute it has three goose eggs in it...I can only fit the three in though it hauds aboot eight hen eggs normally.

This is a reproduction - I cant afford an antique haha! Right now my hen's nest is sitting on my dresser holding Mary Kay lotions hahahaha!!!! I'll get it moved down to the kitchen once the kitchen has been re-wallpapered.

"It is God's will that we take true delight with him in our salvation. In it, he wills that we be greatly comforted and strengthened." Proving there's more to 'salvation' than reading and mumbling... meaning that...recovery, recuperation, healing, revitalization, renewal, mending , etc. is helped immensely by rejoicing, taking stock, praising, enjoying unexpected gifts, and thanking whomsoever... Take heart, Michelle, life in the Orkney's is not easy (but there's some great orchestral music written about it)! Others would dearly trade places... wretched ankle, and the whole bit. Keep making it sound so fascinating. C.

Every place I've ever lived has had its share of difficulties! I'll get this ankle better - and soon enough I'll get immune to the viruses and bugs floating around here haha!! At least I don't have to use an outhouse anymore. Or haul water.
