More March photos from aroond the fairm

The first daffodils on the farm! They were found sheltered between the hoose and a gate.

The rest of the daffodils are ready to burst open!

I always feel like I'm being watched every time I go into the byre...

Erlend planted some bluebells in a pail and then hung them up inside the stable. I found them yesterday. My husband is such a plant lover!!

Bluebells in the barn bucket is such a great word image; the picture is so lovely, too! How many megapixels does your camera have? I'm contemplating getting one. I think you will do great writing for that magazine! You are a gift, mi dear!!

The digital camera we have is like this uber basic "can't hardly do anything" style that's great for quick shots for email but...it doesn't work well for GOOD photos. I'm greatful to at least *have* a digital camera but I'm hoping to get back into photography - something I was studying about er...eh...(counting on fingers)...15 years ago? I LOVE taking photograpsh - so I'm going to be scouring the Orkney College catalog with beady eyes to see if they offer any photo-graphy classes. Now that I'm a merried woman and settled in my own hoose (no longer nomadic...) I can hunker doon and learn how to paint and photograph. My goal is to document all facets of Orkney farming via writing, painting and photography. My ultimate dream is to become famous enough that I can auction off my work to build schools in Ethiopia and houses in Hati!!! It costs $2600 (aboot 拢1300) to build a house for a poor family - imagine if I could auction off paintings for charity and raise enough to build houses and contribute to schools! I hate poverty. I loathe its vile existance with every fiber of my fat well-fed living-in-a-nice-house being. And I have decided to dedicate my life to fighting it tooth-and-nail!! Hopefully I can develop enough art and writing talent to acctually DO something!
