Some of the farm cats

Here are some photos of some of our 14 farm cats. The rest are too elusive to catch on film!

Brodgar and King Tut staying warm

Sweep in the garden last spring (Erlend sent me this cute photo via email. Look at the daffodils!!)

"Can Head" Katie, Sweep's mum.

A bunch of the cats chowing down in the old dairy

Cute little Katie without a can on her head

Millie perched on the garden wall. Her mother is "Molly" and looks almost exactly alike.

Brodgar hiding in the grass looking upon the caddy lambs in absolute horror. "What ARE those noisy digusting things??"

Molly the robot cat sent to Earth to spy upon us farmer humans...
"Take me to your leader..."

This is the sort of posting that might encourage certain bipeds to go all gooey and think about acquiring another cat. I'd just like to say, after my last experience - OVER MY DEAD BODY!!!!!!!

Flying Cat from Alert but not alarmed

Be careful what you wish for Fc, some things can be arranged.

Tws from Taxidermylewis

they are lovley i have a mollie as well a right little miss

carol. from france

Eight of our 14 farm cats were adopted. Erlend is STILL in recovery after I convinced him to take on seven barn cats from the Orkney Cats Protection. But...he's a softie when it comes to critters. Sadly, one of the cats escaped the "holding pen" and fled back to the Cats Protection. He was really cool - a huge black boy. A deffinate ratter!!!!

Michellechoza from Mainland Orkney

Tws from taxidermatitis - mjc wants you to chug my tail; you want to stuff me; AcutleyCurious accuses me of sarcasm (moi???); *SOB* I need lerve on St Val's Day, not loathing. It's enough to make a cat smile, though, to see TGMITN and her Orkney farmer giving so many lost cats a home. Purrrr.

Flying Cat from busy hanging kippers

Oh poor FC, never mind the bipeds, heres a *purr* and a *swish* from me.

mia from watching the leaves dance

mmmmmmmmmmrrrrrp.......

Flying Cat from a delicate shade of pink

meow meow

carol from france

Thanks for sharing ....Cats rule ! Unless they are confronted by a Florida Gator !

Andrea from Naples, Florida

Cans left carelessly like this cost lives.

Lassie from Scotland

Is that red meat I see the cats chowing down on? I'm getting very short shrift from my fpu as I'm being a little picky with my meal options at the moment. She keeps wittering on about all the poor homeless cats only too grateful for the 'I'm not convinved this is tuna' offerings I turn my nose up at. If your felines are getting real red meat, then it will give me great fire to return on her next patronising outburst.

MC from Jealousy corner, Devon

Just you keep your end up, MC. You've been through a lot of trauma lately and I recommend a great deal of petting, snoozing and some finely chopped lamb's liver...

Flying Cat from EffCee's Wee Problem Page

Well, I'm always just carelessly a-flinging cans willie-nillie all over this farm! (Acctually, we always crush our cans. But, being human, we missed this one.)

Michellechoza from Mainland Orkney

Nice use of irony there Michelle! I hope Lassie gets it. After all, she's only a d.o.g. Our cans don't get crushed AND THEY SHOULD! But the amenity site is just too handy and it makes the bipeds lazeeeee.
