The sheep are indoors until they lamb

Erlend built a lovely pen for the flock in our old tied byre. Here they are using the feed fence to eat silage.

The sheep enjoy the delux pen - complete with outside exercise arena!

We had all of the yows scanned. Twa of them are having singles, 17 of them are having twins and 3 of them are having triplets. It seems our ram knows how to do his job well !!!!

Look at all that untapped oo! Quick, bring me my pins of burning gold, bring me my Aeros of desire.... That one on the right has been supplied with kneepads. She must be one of those kneeling yowes. It shows the best kind of animal husbandry...can't quite see if they've got little wee carpet slippers for their sojourn indoors.

I wish I knew how to spin or use that oo. They have such lovely wool but...I have no idea how to judge a fleece so what do I know haha! I'm guessing you're looking at Elsie-Yow with her kneepads of sheep dung?? Good stuff that. They call it "pirls" and I should be collecting it for the garden!!
