My, my dy shed looks nice. Who painted it? Best kept shed in Unst I reckon. Hope your water problem is sorted out soon, before you are swept into the sound.

Excusez-moi, but where is the torrent? Looks more parched than the Benares at the peak of the dry season. Or do I need to see my opthalmologist? Nice, solid metal gates. Raging burn? You must have been dreaming of Burns (isn't it? nah, it was Yeats) gentle waves lapping at the shore etc etc.

Ok, but when there's water whar there's no supposed tae be then it's definately a torrent in my book, and I couldo been ragin mad but I wisno. An inch higher & I wid o had the sandbags oot.

Bottle the water. Genuine Unst burn Water. It would sell for a fortune doon sooth.

You must have been a girl scout (not so long ago?!). Always prepared. A score of sandbags or so in the shed, just in case. Don't tell me you have a small boat in the back storage as well? You did not take that life jacket from the Swan boat home, did you?!

I wouldn't put it past Ruthodanort taking the whole Swan home. Maybe its floating in the foundations with a secret underground channel connecting it to the sound.

Caroline fae Westray, are you a spew on the Swan veteran too??? (Joost checkin you're the Caroline I think you are.)
Ruthodanort from Unst
Caroline: of course I was just pulling R. 's leg (even though she does not have fancy wellies). Talking about the Swan, are those multi-day sailing trips group arrangements, and can individuals (who would of course pay their fair share) fill in slots? My daughter, young and fit, would probably find it a learning experience. R. do you have a sump pump in the basement? Might not be a bad idea.

What pretty green decoration, looks like my own garden path! Might visit Unst in May or June.
