The curious come back of the Kerrera Crab.

OK.....I know ....its been very quiet from the curiously craggy island of Kerrera for some time now, and I've got a lobster pot full of excuses, but honestly its going to be worth the wait.....tales of bouncing babies, castle capers, shore hugging sharks, dancing dolphins, and crazy cooks are coming this way....very soon!

donald from auchtermuchty

had an excellent meal at the bunkhouse the other day- what a wonderful baby you have! hope to come back soon!!

louisa may from wisconsin

i hear that you are having alternative cinema nights on the island, is it true?

jazzy b from camden

i am thinking of coming up to the island for a short break, is there anywhere i can get fish and chips on the island or will i have to go into oban?

derek poole from southampton

hi, i am coming up to kerrera for hogmanay with my two children, can you recommend a trustworthy babysitter on the south end of the island?

angie mctavish from strathpeffer

i heard from a friend of a friend of my mum's next door neighbour but one who has recently visited the island that there may be a wierd recluse living on the island in a hut made out of recycled biscuit tins, he used to be a vaguely succesful director and film-maker, he was nominated at cannes for best documentary in 1974. he hasnt produced anything for ages , but i have also heard industry insiders at raindance film festival were slating him for a comeback in 2006, something about a documentary on sheep, i don't suppose whether you know him but i am keen to know more. best wishes simon

i havent had a good video out in ages, can you suggest anything?

marty scorsese from NY

come on curious crab, where is the news?? we can't wait all year. i'm sure youre busy up there digging in for winter but you have an avid audience here and we are gagging for it!

rosie o'dowd from dingle

I agree with Rosie. Lets be having more news from Kerrera and lets hear more about the 2006 ovine epic. In Kiwiland they are using the poor old wooly things for rugby practise.

Pater Familia from Beaconsfield

its not the way you wear your hat, its where you made it.

b childish from maidstone

what you need up there to draw in the punters is a media friendly cetacean, i have a cousin off barra, i could maybe ask him to put in an appearance...

fungi from dingle

shouldnt that the the way you made it?

sexton ming from berks

judging from the posts, anyone would think that our correspondant from the wee isle is not being taken seriously!

jasmine o'doherty from newbiggin

call that a come back? this blog is more like one of those poncy restaurants that promise you the earth and then leaving you waiting more than an hour for your hors d'oeuvres!

fanny craddock from lululand

I had no idea there was a sucessful film director living on Kerrera making documentaries on sheep! where is his biscuit tin hut?

Rowan from Glasgow

somewhere on the south or west side, i'm not sure, but be careful how you approach him, he is notoriously camera shy, he famously battered a papparazzo who got a bit too up close and personal at one of his screenings at the ICA in the early nineties, apparently it's because of episodes like that that he went to kerrera in the first place.

my fave book as a child was 'the mystery of the island' by Isobel Knight, which is based on Kererra, although it has another name in the book. In it the mystery is that one in twelve mussels gives up a pearl! I often wondered.... lol...

jon wright from bradford uk

i hear theres a chap offering holiday accomodation in a tinhut on the west 0f the island- if anybody knows his full address please let me know - ive walked the island 4 times - next time i would like to stay for a few days - its beautiful!
