Summer is the slow season for bloggers. Did you do your northern trip? We haven't had any news of it. How about a non-island spot, so Carol and mjc could initiate some rubbish.
Nic from Coll
Hi Nic, thanks for your comments. I wonder why the summer season doesn脗鈥檛 seem to be slowing down the Northern Isles? Are they less involved in the tourist trade? Is the weather not as nice as in the Argyll & Clyde area? It脗鈥檚 a mystery to me at the moment! Unfortunately we脗鈥檝e had to postpone our trip north. I脗鈥檒l hopefully have more news on that soon.

Carol and mjc initiate rubbish!! Unimaginable! What happenend to Sunny? Surely the insurance came through for her laptop by now. I used to think of her, when I was but a callow New Blogger, as a Senior Blogger and looked up to her and now she's gorn gorn and nevva called me muvva...*sob*

I don't mind being bracketed with Carol, ole Nick, but it is not fair to Carol to mention the lady and rubbish in the same salty breath. We'll forgive you just this once. Otherwise, we'll have to unleash the full fury of ... how about TWS? etc. etc., pro bono of course ... on you, and give you the evil eye as well. Carol could also utter (long distance, a trunk call as you say so quaintly) some abracadabra on your vegetable garden that would put it out of commission instanto for the rest of the year. Of course, we could both fly into Coll International (COI) and ... settle in your neighborhood?

I inquired about Sunny on some blog or other not too long ago. Where are you Sunny? Gone on the Arran Viking longboat on an unfortunate razzia? All in the pursuit of enough gold to buy yourself a new laptop? Can you hear the call on your conch shell?
mjc from NM,USA
Yeah. Come back Sunny. We miss you. A Rest of the World / Honorary Bloggers / International Rubbish Initiation area would be a good idea for commenters who've become regulars like mjc and Carol. Maybe a set number of comments would qualify people for rights to Bloggership?

Feasgar math. Found this on the web while I was looking up the price of sheep in Lochmaddy: "many if not most of the bloggers and commenters on the 91热爆 Island Blogging service - http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/islandblogging/blogs.shtml (very local humour that possibly doesn't transmit) are people aged 30 to 50. ---- my local idea of a "Digital Native" (if we have to pigeonhole a "typical" person) now is a crofters wife, in her 60's, first language Gaelic, who goes to church then goes online (but NOT on the Sabbath) and does her emails, online shopping, ebay, and checks the weather forecast and the latest price that sheep have fetched in Lochmaddy market for her husband."
Crofter's wife (60) from ebay
Is this the same Islandblogging? The typical blogger is obviously a four-legged religious zealot of non-specific gender with interests in arts, crafts, cookery, shipping (inc. ferries and disasters), politics, health and reminiscences. GSOH. Seeking possible long term relationship with unmasked sheep.

That sums it up very nicely digital incomer!

I'm trying my best to picture a four-legged religious zealot. Hmmm. And exactly what IS and "unmasked sheep"?? Scary...

Which what?

Methinks there is a typo in Dig. Incomer's first sentence. S/he meant it to read: "is this the SANE islandblogging"? Of course, s/he then went on ranting and raving, just like the best of us. Dig. Incomer is probably venting because the poor soul was too late to get a ticket for the recently expired Fank.
mjc from NM
Don't fret tws, digital incomer is just trying to put us into some brackets, so you should feel quite at home.

Thanks, but no - thanks, re: island blog spot from 91热爆 UK ib. Personally, I would rather be able to flit from blog to blog, decide where and when I wish to drop my ... uuuhh! ... contribution, and hopefully leave mayhem/wonderment/ puzzlement/indignation in the wake. So, thanks again, and we'll be seeing you all in line at the organic Guga stand during next year's Fank (I'll be manning the cash counter, with Annie B. at the grill and Calum. doing the birdy preparation).
mjc from NM,USA
No digital incomer - reading is not in disbelief - its in Berkshire!
calum from Lewis ( not as in sussex0 which is Lewes
But he solves murders in Cambridgeshire... I'll defend Nic's rubbish to the hilt! It's high quality rubbish compared to some...

I think it is high time to petition for incorporatio of ib into Midsomer County. Whaddayathink?
mjc from NM,USA
Top idea about Midsomer Machairs mjc. Can we look forward to Gugas' Drift replacing the usual locations like Badgers' Drift?
