Rubbish. One of your neighbours has lost a canary... Great stuff, FIiS, however did you get such a great shot?
Jill from EK
A first for the UK? If so, I expect some fanatic birders are already jostling for tickets on the plane/ferry to Fair Isle. Good for you!! I would not be surprised if some fellow from Unst/Fetlar, birder extraordinaire, does not find his way to Fair Isle soon (hopefully soon enough).

If that's what turns you on, dear, good for you!
Barney from Swithiod congratulations

Wow! that is fantastic. What a beautiful bird. Well done!
Squidgy the Otter from Isle of Coll
Jill.... Fog all weekend.... Q very expensive boat charters from Shetland & some very irate birders who could not grasp that the island ferry has a 12 passenger limit for a good reason. MJC, yep, one of the first. Barney.. I only get interested in the ones ive never seen before.
Angela from Fair Isle Soup Kitchen
Hi Angela, I assume some of those mad birders flew in on chartered flights as well. Some birders are crazily competitive: they just want to see more birds in UK than any one else, either for this year or ever.

Hi Mjc. No chartered flights, to foggy.. It got very bitchy out as the chartered boat trips were very limited !
Angela from Fair Isle custom boob hammock store
Great money-spinners, twitchers. The more the merrier!
Flying Cat from remembering a red-breasted pigeon
...sorry Angela, I meant to say - YES! Very exciting indeed! and well done. You'll go down in history...or better still, herstory...
Flying Cat from you must be fair choughed
Yeah FC, that first is a mega crippler. # FI, I do hope you all charged those fanatics an arm and a leg for food and amenities (they usually have money to spare).
