The Old Port Pier

Old Port Bannatyne Pier

Now that the boat at Ettrick Bay has gone, I wonder how long before the old pier at the Port finally crumbles into the sea. It's a shame that nothing was done to preserve it in the first place and it's probably too far gone to do anything with now.

Its 30 years ago when I worked on Buter putting in the gas. I am intending to visit Rothesay in the Summer of 2008. Loved my time there, dont know why I never went back. Is it still as beautiful a place. Does the Glen Sannox still operate from Weymes Bay?

used to holiday on bute favourite beach was drive down thru farm put money in box think it called stravannen,remember at very low tide swimming over what i was told was crashed plane at that time 40 years ago pot riveted metal thin and steel and green colour does anyone know if it was a plane or just a story
