It would be easy to say Chelsea Horrobin is a one off, but that doesn’t account for her mum Tracy! Both equally forthright and strong minded, they are also possessed of perceptiveness, inventiveness and initiative in spades. Whilst Chelsea may still need to learn to channel these gifts, she’s nevertheless forged a strong but unlikely friendship with Jim Lloyd, and also has an ally in Tracy’s partner Jazzer McCreary.
Fast becoming the hair and make-up go-to option for the village, Chelsea, like some of the other Horrobins, is Marmite – sparky and often outspoken, but never dull.

Madeleine Leslay
Madeleine was born and raised in Bristol to a French mother and English father and grew up speaking both languages. At 18 years old she studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for 3 years where her love for Radio blossomed and was selected to take part in the 91热爆 Carlton Hobbs Bursary Award. A keen singer Madeleine also went to study at the Royal Acadamy of Music and completed a Masters in Musical Theatre.
Theatre includes; Mamma Mia! - Novello Theatre, West End. Much Ado about Nothing, Macbeth, Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night- Uk Tours. Othello, Romeo and Juliet for Stafford Gatehouse Theatre/ Stafford Castle.
Madeleine can be heard narrating audiobooks, notably ‘The Other Queen’ by Philippa Gregory (also narrated by Richard Armitage and Alex Kingston) which won a bronze award at the NYF Radio Awards. She has also narrated titles by Jacqueline Wilson amongst other authors.
Madeleine was thrilled to join the cast of the Archers in 2021, an absolute dream come true!

I absolutely love playing Chelsea, you never know what she’s going to say next or how she will react to things. She is a brave, charismatic, fiercely loyal, impulsive, feisty young lady who is trying to find her place in the world. Yet at the same time she is vulnerable and despite her confidence she can be very insecure. I believe she would do anything for her mum and brother, Brad, even if she doesn’t always show it.
