Jessica StevensonJessica Stevenson
Born in Lewisham and brought up in Brighton, Jessica Stevenson joined the National Youth Theatre company as a teenager and in 1993 secured a role in Peter Greenaway's The Baby of M芒con.

She teamed up with life-long friend and future Spaced co-star Katy Carmichael in a double-act called The Liz Hurleys, then went on to appear on television in the nursing drama Staying Alive. But her real break came in 1995, when she met Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright whilst making the show Six Pairs Of Pants.

After a variety of stage and television work, she appeared in Channel 4's Armstrong and Miller and then went on to shine in the supporting role of neighbour Cheryl in Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash's 1997 sitcom The Royle Family. A year later, she co-wrote and starred in Spaced with Pegg.

Stevenson won Best Female Newcomer at the 1999 ITV Comedy Awards. A second series of Spaced was broadcast in 2001 which she followed by scooping Best Comedy Actress at the British Comedy Awards in 2002.

Since then, she has appeared in Bob and Rose on television and in the feature film Born Romantic. She also completed the 91热爆 Film Tomorrow La Scala and in 2003 was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for her performance in The Night Heron.
