Peedie man's first snow

I looked forward to seeing Sig's first time in the snow and all the frolics I might have expected but he took it all in hie stride. The amazing thing about Shetland
Ponies is the fact that the snow doesn't melt off their backs as their coat is so thick.

The nicest thing about having the snow and it being dry is that the ponies are so fluffy and teddy bear like.

Cute is a word that comes to mind but you have to remember that these ponies are not ornaments and are horses packaged into neat little cute and cuddly bodies.

OK I know you don't want to hear this but they are way toooooo cute! You can't post pics like this and not expect to hear cute! And I do have respect for all ponies--I know what you are saying, but they do look adorable in the snow.

Your photos are incredible! You have captured the unique essence and beauty of the Orkney Isles. These "bonnie, peedie ponies" are truly a gift from Nature, to be respected and protected and regarded as a dignified cultural icon of the ORKNEY ISLES. Great work and good eye for the camera lens. I have downloaded the photos adorned my office, and have sent them to friends and clients whom are impressed and amazed. Calgary is the home of the Stampede and the 'Bucking Bronco' and folks here haven't heard of nor seen such beautiful horses. But needless to say their first remark is the cliche "Oh how cute, would'nt it be nice to have one for a pet" Keep up the good work. Missing you all and hope to come home one day and stay. Cheers and Happy New Year to all the good folk in Orkney. P.S. I am wondering who won the Bah this year, the uppies or the doonies???
