Autumn on Mull

Well I gave myself a good talking to and said - sit down and write your blog! Its been too long! So here I am, on Sunday evening with the sun going down leaving the most incredible sunset. Is it still Autumn or has winter started - is there an official start date - we've had snow already and still some on the top of Ben More! but the last few days have been glorious - clear blue skies, warmth in the sunshine, touch of front first thing in the morning. The thing I love about autumn is the colours - up here, I dont know whether its something to do with the air being fresh, clean and pure, but the colours are breathtaking - trying to capture them on film just doesnt do them justice. But here are some anyway.

I am glad you decided to post. I loved the pictures. Thank you.

Gorgeous, WF. Look at the colours of the maples in the Japanese Garden! And the masses of the trees on the hillsides. Bertie is very photogenic!

Hi Wild Freckle, I passed by Mull a few days ago aboard the Clansman and saw the snow capped mountains of Mull. Stunning photos as usual and the colours are truly magnificent. Superb photo of the buzzard - well done !!

Hi Squidgy - we wave to the Clansman when we see it! goes past my back door! Buzzards are such handsome birds - I know there is a bit of snobbery with some birdwatchers but I love them

Wild Freckle from Mull in the sun!

Amazing photo's as well as an educational experience - as I still have not ventured to some of those beautiful locations.

Like th epics WF - that one with the sheep is really amusing! YOu've got the Aros Park colors just nice there - I was out for a run with my wife round Aros Park the other day and the colours were stunning. There used to be a boatshed there but it collapsed a couple of years ago - a great pity, because it added a nice touch to the view, in a "New England in the Fall" sort of way. Thanks for sharing! Cheers MM

Lovely pix, Barney the Buzzard looks great but the Ears Fors is just fantastic! Out-japaneses the Japanese garden easily.

Barney from Swithiod pretty as a picture

The sheeps might be practicing for next year's Fank Beauty Pageant at Butlin-on-Ness.
