Happily Ever After from Moving to Lewis in 4 weeks!!
Good pics of Stornoway, looks like the Med with those blue skies. What are the birds in photo 6? Turnstones?

It's usually the other way around HEA, they didn't name a colour Stornoway Grey for nothing! However, having recently become re-acquainted with Aberdeen, I think the Aberdonians invented grey...of every shade and nuance. Stornoway has a long way to go...

yes HEA it was this morning, they have predicted 70 mile an hour gales, (I think this may have been why the fishing boats were in) the day was sun and little showers but this evening the wind has picked up a bit, Jill our sea and sand are better than the med without the crowds too, I think they are turnstones but there were no stones for them on the quay,

All that and cheap ferries too!

Turnstones, eh? Nice pictures, IT. I had not realized Stornoway was such a bustling port. For the life of me, I can't figure out why those birds (pic. 6) are not wearing EmporioJohn wellies: I thought the sale was still on.

Good weather in Stornoway? Impossible! (Only Joking). I never got to see Stornoway properly, we drove there at 10pm at night and got on the ferry at 6am the next morning. It's really weird though, there are some places that feel just like Northampton, with shops and cars and houses and even TREES which is really weird after several weeks of living out of a Spar shop and camping on a beach.
