Heavens help me: that was the sun? And just for a few seconds? No sun for weeks? And the locals don't go stark raving mad? Amazing.

and there was I, looking for another sun ... the second sun ... then I realised that you were using irony, weren't you, and commenting on a split-second splash of sun ...! I'm currently waiting for a break in the cold wet rain so I can go over the road and complete some work I started ... haven;t seen any sun today, lol ...!!

Here's me thinking that I was going to see a photo of your offspring, your clone, your heir. I'd forgotten about the thing that's spelt differently.

Me and Marmers have been trying to solve this puzzle of mysterious light and we think we may be able to help you, IT. There's a big star up there in space called Sun (not to be confused with Sunny)...it may have a posher scientific name, but we are, after all, only cats, and can't be expected to know everything...and sometimes it shines on the righteous. This means that, during winter, we in the isles are distressingly un-righteous and in 'summer', a bit more so. (Logically, it follows that mjc in his sunny desert enclave is monumentally righteous.) So if it shone on you yesterday, you're doing better than most of us! Does this help at all?

emporio alanjohn in lionel has an exceptional offer on high factor Ambre Solaire but you have to buy paraffin and or a Tilley lamp mantle to qualify.
