I thought it may have had to do with the takeover of the Harris Tweed industry by that fellow who wants to destroy all the more recent innovations, leaving you with nothing but sludge&fudge colour schemes... I'm glad you're handy with a darner IT; I sometimes feel a bit threadbare, so I may have to pop over for a rethread.

Glad we haven't lost the Threads.... - Annie B from the usual & Flying Cat, I'll find my darning needle and soon patch things up - island threads from lewis & IT, I sometimes feel a bit threadbare, so I may have to pop over for a rethread. - Flying Cat from Rolling Acres # Am I reading right (and why am I chortling?!). Sanctified Methuselah, what have I done to deserve such a fate? Am I guilty of such turns of phrase as well? Probably, but I am too blind to see (or is it "to sea" - eh, Coco?).

strange though it might be FC many of the visitors like the sludge&fudge colours as they think of them as more traditional and are looking for something that reminds them of the islands, the moors etc. but many local people like the bright colours hence our choice of the purple tartan in the group quilt only one incomer in the group wanted the more traditional dark green, I also found when I went to craft fairs on the mainland and website sales prefer the bright colours, keeping tags on what sells and why can be insightful, pop over anytime for a rethread fc pleased to be able to help,
