Kilvickeon

Leaving the church I walked towards the beach but turned off the track just before the beach to explore the rocks,

but before I reached the rocky shore line this fellow greeted me,

and some more mull goats

three textures

wavy rock

white water rock

two more photos

marram grass on rock, I thought this looked like one of those arty garden design rocks, mother nature always does it best,

Kilvickeon small beach looking westerly along the coast, the beach at Kilvickeon is split and this is the smaller side I had walked up the hill then walked across the cliffs back to Scoor where I was staying

I haven鈥檛 got knowledge of rocks to me they are patterns and textures but I have enjoyed reading his posts and learning and trying to understand, I looked for the rocks he posted about on Kilvickeon beach but I didn鈥檛 find them, ah well such is life, I enjoyed and that鈥檚 the main thing,

I'm sure MM would be interested in your photos, IT. They show some of the features he has mentioned, and also clearly show where you get some of your inspiration from. My favourite is the wavy rocks one (the goats are good too!)

A jackalope!! (pic.1). As rare as an ivory-billed woodpecker. And you have a clear photo to prove it!! Congratulations.

pleased you both enjoyed the photos, Jill I love the wavy rock and wish I could have got closer to it but it was a bit of a drop down and the waves didn鈥檛 look too inviting should I have slipped, while I was doing the photos for the church I did two more for this post too,

Your pics are very interesting I like the white water rocks , we get little stones at the beach which seem to have gold threads running through them I have quite a collection and think I am becoming a cleptomaniac as I fill my pockets with stones every time I visit the beach

Barebraes from Shapinsay

Be comforted, Barebraes: others have the same habit of collecting stones, various sizes. Quite a disease in NM, as macQ would confirm. Wife often brings some in her pockets from her walks, and leaves them around the house. They all end up by the door steps, but we are not as organized as you are. # Have you ever had goat (or vindaloo IT? Yummy dish. I suspect Jackalope could replace goat in a pinch.# By the way, IT, really nice demonstration of the textures. Wavy rock is VERY nice.
